Residents: paying rent and other charges
Payment of rent and other charges is your responsibility. To make it as convenient as possible for residents, King Street HS offers many payment options.
You can pay your charges by:
- Cash payment at the Society’s offices at 89 King Street, Cambridge (opening hours 8.45am to 4.30pm)
- Cheque payment at the Society’s offices
- Cheque payment by post
- Direct into the Society’s rent collection account by internet banking. Please apply to the office for the information you need.
- Standing Order
- Housing Benefit Direct
- Debit or, in certain circumstances, credit card, either in person at the Society’s offices, or over the telephone
- Cash or cheque into any Barclays bank branch free of charge. Please contact your Housing Officer for a paying-in book.
King Street HS will give you at least four weeks’ notice of any rent increases and will increase your rent no more than once a year.
You will receive a statement or your rent and/or service charge account every three months, usually with your newsletter.
If you have any query about your statement King Street HS will respond within 5 working days, unless it involves housing benefit, when we may have to wait for information from the local authority.
